Creating a Artist Profile: #
To ensure your releases are delivered accurately to digital stores, it is essential to set up your artist profiles correctly within the ChilClick ecosystem. Follow this guide to register a new artist and configure their distribution defaults.
Step 1: Access Artist Management #
In the General tab, input the core identity of the artist.
Artist Name: Enter the name exactly as it should appear on streaming platforms (check spelling and capitalization carefully).
Artist Image: Upload a high-quality artist image.
Description: (Optional) You may add an artist biography or internal notes here.
Step 3: Configure Uploader Defaults (Recommended) #
To streamline future upload sessions, you can pre-fill data in the Uploader Defaults tab. This allows our system to automatically apply these settings whenever you create a new release for this artist.
Primary Genre: Select the artist’s main musical style.
Language: Set the default language of the lyrics/titles.
Record Label: Assign the default label name associated with this artist.
Step 4: Store Mapping & Verification #
This is the most critical step to ensure your music lands on the correct artist page.
If your artist is already live on platforms like Apple Music or Spotify:
- Locate the Store IDs or Existing Profiles section within the setup.
- Enter the artist’s existing Apple Music and Spotify URLs or IDs.
- Why this matters: Providing this information guarantees that new releases are mapped to their existing catalogue, preventing the creation of duplicate profiles or “mixed” artist pages.
