How to Change Your Artist Name

Artist name changes are only supported for Artist Accounts.
Label accounts cannot directly change an artist name.

To avoid issues with stores, streaming data, and royalties, please follow the steps below carefully and review the Important Notes before starting.


Artist Accounts Only #

Step 1: Submit a Support Request #

Log in to your ChilClick account and submit a Change Artist Name request through the Help Center.

Step 2: Provide Required Information #

In your request, include:

  • Your current artist name
  • Your new artist name

Step 3: Name Update #

Once approved, your artist name will be updated in your account settings.

Step 4: Re-upload Your Releases #

Upload your releases again using the new artist name and submit them for review.

Step 5: Request Takedown of Old Releases #

After the new releases are live and streaming data has merged, request a takedown of the releases under your previous artist name.


Important Notes #

  • Use the original audio files and ISRCs when re-uploading to ensure streaming data merges correctly.
  • Do not reuse UPCs from previous releases. New UPCs will be generated automatically.
  • Streaming data merging can take up to two weeks, depending on stores and services.
  • Do not request takedowns until the new releases are fully live and data merging is complete.

Label Accounts #

Artist name changes are not supported through label accounts.
If an artist needs to change their name, the request must be submitted from the artist’s own account.
