How to Create a New Release

ChilClick provides a simple process to distribute your music to hundreds of streaming platforms and stores worldwide. Follow this step-by-step guide to upload your release efficiently.

Step 1: Start Your Upload #

1. Log in to your ChilClick dashboard
2. Go to the Releases tab and click Create New Release
3. Enter your Release Title
4. Select your Primary Artist
   • If your artist profile exists, select it
   • If it doesn’t exist, create a new artist profile
5. For collaborations, choose which artist appears first; additional primary artists can be added later

Step 2: Enter Basic Release Information #

1. Release Type
   • Album: 7+ tracks or 30+ minutes
   • EP: 4-6 tracks under 30 minutes, or 1-3 tracks with at least one track 10+ minutes
   • Single: 1-3 tracks under 10 minutes
   • Compilation: Multiple primary artists, previously released tracks, or tracks released over 18+ months
2. Version Line (if applicable): Remix, Acoustic, Radio Edit, Clean, Slowed, Sped Up, Remastered, etc.
3. Primary Artists: Add any additional artists to appear in stores’ main discography

Step 3: Upload Artwork #

1. Upload your Cover Art
2. Optionally, upload Apple Motion Artwork for Apple Music (animated artwork)
3. Ensure your artwork meets ChilClick’s cover art requirements

Step 4: Release Information #

1. Set your Release Date (and optional pre-order date)
2. Optionally define a specific time and timezone
3. Input Genre (primary and optional secondary)
4. Select Language or mark as instrumental
5. Enter Label, Copyright Line, and Publisher Line
6. Choose which Stores/Services to distribute to
7. Enable optional deliveries:
   • YouTube Content ID
   • Meta Rights Manager (Facebook/Instagram)
   • SoundCloud Monetization & Content Protection
   • SoundExchange
   • Beatport / Juno Download / Tracklib / Hook / LyricFind
8. Optional information:
   • Licensing type (Copyright or Creative Commons)
   • Existing UPC or allow ChilClick to generate one
   • Select territories manually if needed

Step 5: Manage Tracks #

1. Upload Tracks or select previously uploaded tracks
2. Edit Track Information:
   • Track name, version line, language, explicit content
   • Assign ISRC / ISWC if applicable
   • Set TikTok preview start time
   • Add Participants: Primary, Featured, or Remixer roles
   • Add Writer and Additional Credits (Composer, Lyricist, Producer, etc.)
   • Optionally upload Dolby Atmos, Apple Digital Master, Instrumental versions
   • Optionally add Lyrics and mark explicit content
3. Rearrange or remove tracks as needed

Step 6: Preview and Publish #

1. Check for issues; click Resolve Issues if needed
2. Click Preview Release to review all information
3. Confirm you have rights to distribute the release
4. Attach any licenses, clearances, or notes for review
5. Click Publish Release

• Your release will be reviewed by ChilClick’s Quality Control team
• Distribution can take several days; to avoid delays, upload at least 2-4 weeks before your release date
• Monitor your release status in your dashboard
