Adding Multiple Lead Artists to Your Release

ChilClick supports releases featuring more than one primary artist, giving you full flexibility whether you manage an individual artist account or a label.

Key Points:

• Artist accounts: You can include additional lead artists, provided they are linked to your account.
• Label accounts: Multiple primary artists can be added freely without restrictions.
• Display note: Releases with four or more primary artists may appear as a “Various Artists” release on most streaming platforms.

How to Include Extra Primary Artists #

You can assign additional primary artists either at the release level or for individual tracks, depending on how you want the credit to appear.

Adding Primary Artists at the Release Level #

1. Start a new release and enter the release title.
2. Assign the first primary artist. If this artist is already in your account preferences, select them; otherwise, create a new artist profile.
3. For collaborations, choose which primary artist should be displayed first. Additional primary artists can be added in the next step.
4. In the release details section, input any other primary artists to be credited across the full release.

Adding Primary Artists at the Track Level #

1. Go to the Manage Tracks section and upload your audio files.
2. Click Edit Track Information for the track you want to modify.
3. Open Participants and navigate to Artist Roles.
4. Choose Existing Artist (if previously added to your account) or New Participant, then input the artist’s name and link their artist page.
5. Set their role to Primary Artist and save your changes.

This approach ensures each primary artist receives proper credit and displays correctly across all stores and streaming platforms.
