ChilClick allows you to create a dedicated version of your release specifically for Facebook and Instagram. This step is optional and only needed if you want a version that differs from your main release.
Why a Separate Version is Needed
Facebook and Instagram do not process the “Version” field like other stores. Instead, any version information must be included directly in the release title. Other digital stores handle versions through the separate Version field.
How to Set It Up
Step 1: Create the Facebook/Instagram Version
- Include the version info in the release title itself.
- Leave the Version field blank.
- In the Stores/Services section of the Uploader, select only Facebook and Instagram.
- Submit the release for distribution.
Example:
- Title: Skyline (Live)
- Version: leave blank
Step 2: Create the Version for Other Stores
- Use the original title without the version in the release title.
- Add the version in the Version field.
- Exclude Facebook and Instagram from this release.
- Include all other stores and platforms you want your release delivered to.
- Submit the release for distribution.
This method ensures each platform receives the correct version without confusion or duplication.
