Ensuring your cover art matches your release information is essential. Any mismatch can create confusion for listeners, retailers, and digital platforms, and may lead to delays in distribution or rejection of your release.
Artist Name
- The spelling, capitalization, and formatting of the artist name on your cover art must be identical to what is submitted in your release.
- Any additional artists appearing on the cover must be credited appropriately as primary or featured artists on the album or specific tracks.
- Artists indicated as “featuring” or “with” on the artwork must appear as featured artists on at least one track, with consistent spelling and formatting.
Album or Single Title
- The album or single title on your cover art must exactly match the title submitted in your release, including capitalization and punctuation.
- Any version information on the artwork (for example: Remix, Acoustic, Radio Edit) must also appear in the release title field.
Language Requirements
- All text on the cover art must be in one language and correspond with the album language specified in your submission.
- The characters and script used on the artwork must match those in your metadata. For example, Greek text on the cover requires Greek characters in the submission, and Spanish text requires Spanish characters in metadata.
- Mixing languages or using a character set inconsistent with your submission is not allowed.
By following these guidelines, you ensure a smooth release process and a professional, consistent presentation of your music across all platforms.
